Pescadero

This small New England town setting charms visitors and residents alike. Pescadero's roots reach all the way back to the pioneer Yankees who made their way west to call the coastal community home. Though it is no longer the main route along the coast, Stage Road still runs through the center of town. At sunset, if you listen hard, you can almost hear the distant rumblings of the stagecoach making its way toward town. Even today, the stories surface of those long ago visitors who came to visit Pebble Beach and holiday in the grand resort hotels of Pescadero.

The old frame houses and steepled churches reflect the town's pioneer roots. Built in 1867, the Pescadero Community Church is not only a California Registered Landmark, but the oldest church in San Mateo County.
